Vegan Pizza
Eating healthy doesn't have to be as bad as it seems, I realized cooking your own food makes it more rewarding to eat healthy. Many times people don't like to eat healthy because they think it taste bad and also because many times healthy options aren't available. I wanted to share my favorite vegan recipe and also tips to staying healthy.
This vegan pizza is not only delicious but also very healthy, who has ever heard of a healthy pizza?!
Ingredients: Pesto Sauce
- 2cups fresh basil
- 1cup fresh Italian parsley
- 1⁄2cup parmesan cheeseor 1⁄2 cup romano cheese, grated
- 1⁄2cup pine nuts, toasted
- 4cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- 1⁄4teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1⁄2cup olive oil
- 1tablespoon lemon juice
- 2tablespoons water
- gluten free pizza crust (optional)
- Cherry tomatoes
- Half Avocado
- Cook on 400 for 30 minutes
- Enjoy!!
Tips for Getting Motivated to Eat Healthy
- Set small, measurable goals that will help you get to your overall large goal.
- Keep a food and exercise journal.
- Crowd processed junk food out of your diet by adding in nutritious whole foods.
- Skip the pantry and head to the fridge.
- Team up with a friend and hold each other accountable for eating healthy.
- Keep nutritious foods on hand and ready to eat.
- Keep tempting foods that trigger you to overeat out of the house.
- Always bring a healthy snack with you when you leave the house for more than a couple hours.
- Don’t let one set-back keep you from working toward your goal.
