Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

I'm spending 5 days in Puerto Viejo, I love the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, it seems like a totally different vibe. Something I didn't know about the east side of Costa Rica is the fact that there are a lot of African American decedents which came here in the past to work on the railroad. A majority of them speak English because that was their native language and carried on the tradition. Also another thing to know before coming here is the fact that there is a lot of drug trafficking in the Caribbean and almost all locals are smoking on the beach at all hours of the day. Do not be alarmed if someone stops by to offer you weed or other types of drugs. This is completely normal and even if you decide to do so, it is completely okay to smoke weed in public because I even saw cops smoking...

A cool thing about this sailboat is the fact that someone left it here about a year ago and never came back for it so it has been going with the current but has sank a good bit into the sand so everyone is always swimming to it and taking photos with it.  No one knows exactly why the person left it but their are many myths to the story.

Also I will be having a fun list of things I did in Puerto Viejo at the end of the week. I will make sure to document everything and of course make a Youtube video about it.
