Irazú Volcano, Costa Rica
Irazú volcano is located to the north of San Jose and is located in Cartago. It is the tallest volcano in Costa Rica so it takes a while to get there. From San Jose the Public bus leaves at 8:00 a.m everyday and gets to the volcano at 10:15 you pay a 15 dollar park fee and then stay at the volcano for 2 hours. The bus leaves at 12:30 sharp to go back to San Jose. The bus station is located downtown. I would suggest going by taxi to get to the station and telling the you want to go to the bus station that go to Irazú and they will all know where the station is located. Since there are no addresses in Costa Rica it is hard to use Uber unless you know the exact location of the street and avenue. I am not sure why Addresses do not exist but people use landmarks and locations next to famous stores or locations. Anyways I wanted to talk about this AMAZING trip to Irazú, It was one the best things I ever experienced in my life. You are literally in the clouds and it is very cold at the top so I suggest you bring a jacket if you do not want to be miserable. It was so cool to see what it is like inside a volcano and to see how fascinating this world actually is, everything in nature is effortless and it amazes me everyday mother nature is capable of doing.
